Our Guardianship Promise

Our promise to our Guardianship clients, families, and community partners…

First and foremost, we will act to ensure the safety and well being of our clients.

We will advocate for the wishes (self-determination) of our clients, in the least restrictive setting possible. We will do so, even when this may not be what we, or others may want for them.

We will be a reliable, knowledgeable and responsive partner in the care and management of the lives of the people for whom we have been entrusted to serve.

We will not act against the will of our clients, unless there is a compelling reason to do so, in order to assure their safety and well being.

We will provide 24 hour emergency telephone service with a promise to return the call in 10 minutes. We will attempt to return non emergency Guardian client related phone calls within 24 hours.

We will seek to include families as partners in the care of our clients and consider them as valuable input into the decisions we make.

We will abide by the directives of the Court and the laws and regulations to govern our work.

We will collaborate, in good faith with our partners to provide the appropriate levels of care and services for our clients. We will select the levels of care that meet our client needs and preferences and are within our client resources. As our client needs change, we will make necessary adjustments.
